Chris Austin

Chris Austin

Chris Austin is a multi faceted artist currently living and working in Toronto. He creates three-dimensional sculptures that he uses as inspiration and then translates them into paintings.

Austin's current series is inspired by his North American travels, and more specifically, the Pacific Northwest. The underlying theme that is present throughout each piece is the current climate crisis and the irreversible impact it has on wildlife.

His latest solo exhibition at Galerie Youn, Destined Fauna, represents and depicts various wildlife escaping and thriving in an otherworldly utopia, an environment that has been untainted and preserved in perfection.
